I'm not arguing. It's not like they would be deserving though unless a bunch of teams lost a bunch of games.
Look around. There are seven Power 5 teams that have fewer than two losses with four weeks left. 11-2 Auburn would not be viable every year, but this year is an unholy fucking dreckfest.

It's a lot harder to go on a historic run if you have tuff conference games. USC with Carroll didn't either. Once Harbaugh and Kelly had there programs rolling he bounced. Urban Meyer left early in Saban'a tenure at Alabama.
The SEC has never been better than anyone else. They just aren't stupid about it. The one thing they do have are elite, black defensive lineman, but their QB play is usually mediocre.
