Or perhaps Stanford in a rivalry game.
Even then, ND doesn't play conference championship game so they should be behind one-loss power 5 conference champions.
Essentially ND will be fighting for a spot with Big-12 team between winner of Oklahoma and TCU next week. -

If Miami and Georgia (or Alabama) finishes the season with 1 loss will mean 1) they are not a conference champion or 2) they are a conference champion with a late season loss.dhdawg said:

Thus why a 1-loss PAC-12 Champion Washington will be ahead of both 1-loss ACC or SEC teams minus a 1-loss ACC Champion Clemson.
