You have to be a special kind of stoopid to not go for it. This game was lost for many reasons...poor game planning by smiff, no kickers on the entire team, piss poor QB effort by Brownsocks, and terrible recruiting of WR for years....but Peterman not going for it there is just pathetic. Pussy move. Not much else to say. The Maaco NOGAF Bowl will be special.

i think you have to go for it there, but I also think Petersen has been trying to give his kicker(s) a gimmie for a couple weeks now to build confidence. Unfortunately they're officially fucked for life now

I agree. I see what Peterman was *trying* to do...but those kickers are a pile of shit, and when you are down 13 with a quarter to go, and you haven't done shit all game, you have to go for it. Fuck the kickers. You have to have some killer instinct to try to actually win. Everyone on the team knows the kicking game sucks. Now, everyone on the team knows the kicking game held a higher level of confidence in Peterman"s heart than Smith/Browning and the offense.
