Is this the Cal 2007 game?

A well played, good win that defies logic and comes out of nowhere. What does the script say?
A win would be disastrous for the Fire Sark cause. It means nothing in the big picture but it will further embolden the doog pussies.
I can hear Sark...."We were 7-4 at this time last year and didn't go 9-4. Now we have a chance to finish right and take the next step."
Fuck

I keep hearing how 9-4 is undeniable improvement.
It really isn't, the only difference is we played no one in nonconference this year

BTW it wouldn't defy odds to win this game. OSU has beaten a few nobodies and has sucked against everyone good this year

Disagree. The 2007 Cal game didn't save Ty, if he was going to be retained at 4-9 that tells me W-L didn't factor into it.
Now a game that comes to mind is Apple Cup 2003, had Gilby lost that game and UW gone 5-7 which wasn't tolerated back then he is let go.
Instead UW trailing 16-7 heading into the 4th against a top 10 WSU rallies as the Cougars couldn't stop turning the ball over.

Idaho State should not count as a win.
