This is really simple. People don't have a problem with them protesting as that's their right. It's WHEN they are doing it that has pissed off millions of Americans.
They're getting the attention because of when they're protesting.
Kneeling during warmups would barely even get a mention.

no. it wouldn't. you don't actually believe that do you?godawgst said:If the NFL players had picked anytime other than during the National Anthem (oh say during warm-ups, between quarters, halftime, or even after the game) they would get the exact same amount of tv coverage, and none of this is even an issue.

I absolutely do. You don't think coming out of any timeout, after half, end of game, whenever tv wouldn't show and talk about it.dhdawg said:

Both teams locking arms, taking a knee, whatever at midfield, in the end zone would get the same amount of coverage, if not more as the Networks don't really want to show the protests. That's why the cameraman are muffling out the boos and ignoring the signs (except for one on Monday Night) of people saying "We Stand". They won't come out and say it, but this is not good for their business. -

It's almost like you ignore that middle America exists. Of course many of them are racist. Jesus, football, NASCAR, and America... These people will never change.TierbsHsotBoobs said:It looks like Trump supporters are racists.
Who would have ever guessed that?
At least those oppressed have you supporting the cause through your keyboard.
I know these people. -
Watched the UW game with a coworker today who kept saying fuck the NFL he is done with it. I educated him on UW because he doesn't watch college. He enjoyed it, I think we have a new UW fan... so in this case fuck the NFL I hope it goes down in fire and brimstone.
PS. He even yelled "CHIN SIGHTING!" when he came on the field. At that point I knew I did my job. -
With Seahawks now in full meltdown mode, it won't take long. Stubhub has many tickets to today's game under $100 for the first time in years. Preseason game get-in tickets were +$200 just last year. Another bad loss at home in a 3/4 full, booing stadium will be the final blow to 12-Mania
62% of NFL fans surveyed plan on watching less NFL this year. -
* now $88. Wait. They will be $50 or less by kickoff.
