NFL’s Brand Favorability Drops To Lowest Point Since Morning Consult Started Tracking: The NFL’s net favorability has dropped from 30% on September 21 to 17% on September 28. On September 21, 25% of Trump supporters said they had a very favorable view of the NFL and 11% had a very unfavorable view. As of Sept 28, those numbers have dramatically changed with 33% of Trump supporters say they have a very unfavorable view of the NFL and 16% report having a very favorable view.

If the NFL players had picked anytime other than during the National Anthem (oh say during warm-ups, between quarters, halftime, or even after the game) they would get the exact same amount of tv coverage, and none of this is even an issue.
This is really simple. People don't have a problem with them protesting as that's their right. It's WHEN they are doing it that has pissed off millions of Americans.

Both teams locking arms, taking a knee, whatever at midfield, in the end zone would get the same amount of coverage, if not more as the Networks don't really want to show the protests. That's why the cameraman are muffling out the boos and ignoring the signs (except for one on Monday Night) of people saying "We Stand". They won't come out and say it, but this is not good for their business. -

Watched the UW game with a coworker today who kept saying fuck the NFL he is done with it. I educated him on UW because he doesn't watch college. He enjoyed it, I think we have a new UW fan... so in this case fuck the NFL I hope it goes down in fire and brimstone.
PS. He even yelled "CHIN SIGHTING!" when he came on the field. At that point I knew I did my job. -
