Simple fact, when there are upsets in the PAC it's because the conference sucks, when the top ranked teams win it's because the conference has no depth. Might as well not even play the games.

It is the stupidest argument. UW could still play USC. And if they don't play USC they will still play WSU and a team with a better conference record than USC.

USC has the brand to be a title contender with 1 loss, especially with the PAC-south dreck. if UW beats an unbeaten or 1 loss WSU then beats a USC that is still hyped up to be a playoff team we are in like flynn even with a loss.
