I'm hearing from a very reliable source that an undefeated uw team may not get in. Because of Clemson Bama and Oklahoma all finishing undefeated.

It is the stupidest argument. UW could still play USC. And if they don't play USC they will still play WSU and a team with a better conference record than USC.

USC has the brand to be a title contender with 1 loss, especially with the PAC-south dreck. if UW beats an unbeaten or 1 loss WSU then beats a USC that is still hyped up to be a playoff team we are in like flynn even with a loss.
