Best guess, and it's only a guess, is that one of them kicks further while the other has better directional control. When they just want to boot it deep they go with kicker a, when they want to keep it from a specific returner or force a return up a specific side of the field they go with kicker b.
I couldn't even tell you which is which. -
I'd say it's to get Soderberg some real game action. I'm praying he isn't the kicker next season though, as he is just as bad and likely a lot worse than Vizcaino.

If a coach cant find a guy who can kick a touch back over 80 percent of the time he should be fired.
Allowing kick returns is fucking idiotic.
You can have s different fg kicker. But if he can't boot it out of the endzone then find someone who can. -
