I have no idea why people in Alabama are against the Health Care Bill. The state benefits a lot from it.
I never understood why red states like Alabama vote against their interests but they are a welfare state. While more liberal states like New York and California don't even see the 1:1 return on every dollar it sends to Washington DC -
The worst part was Texas representatives and senators voting to deny New York emergency funds when Hurricane Sandy hit. Then when Hurricane Harvey hit, the Texas representatives and senators were happy to receive federal funds.
