I'm assuming they aren't ready to play significant snaps in the first conference game of their careers. Even Budda and SMFJ were pretty rough the first half of their freshman seasons.dhdawg said:

They were at worse average P12 starters early in their career ... bigger issue were there were guys around them blowing responsibilities (i.e. hale against UCLA)FremontTroll said:

Barring some significant surprise were basically downgrading from top 10 talent to probably not top 25 talent. Lose too many players like this and we stop being a top 10 team. I trust this staff to develop players on the time scales of years, not days.FremontTroll said:

This shouldn't be blown out of proportion as a disaster but I agree this is pretty bad for us. -

Murphy getting hurt clearly shows how inept Jimmy Lake is as a coach and he should never be given an opportunity as a DC or head coach elsewhere.
