Is it possible that

What if he is actually trying different combos and playing guys that aren't ready so they are ready when Slack 12 play begins?
If he would fire Smith I could almost believe the best.
But pretty sure it is safer to expect the worst until we see different.
And there is no explanation for Browning
At all
We are either fucked or we are going to plunger the Pac and a lot of threads will get bumped.
Either way Pumpy was right

Hold on, I need to sit down. Race CARES... Smith is the only inexplicable aspect of the program imo. Beyond that, I dont think Pete gives a single fuck about playing serious football in scrimmages. Offensively, Im holding onto the Colorado game as a meager hope that we will pound the ball in conf play.

Petersen is the closest we have come to Don James and it isn't even close compared to the rest of the riffraff that we suffered under for 25 years. But it was not all roses for the first two years. We were impatient and beaten and abused and a couple of 4-5 seasons in conference had us restless once again.
But Petersen actually knows what he is doing. We saw a complete team this season with players who improved greatly year-to-year and even week-to-week. The best defense since the 90's. An exciting offense that at times needed to be less exciting and more smash mouth. Two special running backs and the worst best quarterback we've had, Jake Browning and his 42 touchdown passes. John Ross Ewing the Third and Dante Pettis stretched the defenses.
The Huskies lit up Oregon for a 70 spot after crushing Stanford 44-6. The two kings of the Pac 12 were dead. UW rolled into a late season home game against USC and got beat. And injuries started to mount. But the Huskies bounced back with easy wins over ASU and WSU and a command performance in the Pac 12 title game that Bama would have been proud of. Stout defense making turnovers and a power running game shut out the Buffs after the first quarter save for a lone field goal following a fluke kickoff return.
Petersen is actually better than James in that he did not lose a little one this year and that was the key to getting to the playoff. The team was ready to play every week. USC was just better that night.

Lord of The Flies Iron law: We love every coach when he wins the Slack - 12 until he goes 8-4 or worse and then we hate him again.YellowSnow said:Petersen is the closest we have come to Don James and it isn't even close compared to the rest of the riffraff that we suffered under for 25 years. Clearly bbk and Constantine had break out game vs montana!
Now they will keep it up for the pac 12 play and azeem can be moved to the outside where they still suck. -
I pray every night for DJ Beavers to heal quickly. And I also pray that we stop playing Ryan Bowman. And then I pray that we will be a run first team when conference play starts and we will realize Jake is not a game changing QB and should not be the focal point of our offense.
I fully agree that Pete does not give a flying shit about what is happening in the preseason, he wants to build skill for his entire team, that is one thing he constantly mentions. If we roll into the season and Benning is playing 81% of snaps and Tevis is too, and then they are rotating in Azeem on the edge sometimes I will feel MUCH better.
Smith, and some of our weaknesses in recruiting from the early Pete years are showing up right now. Other than that we are fine, and if Pete stops fucking around when conference play rolls around we can do what we did last year. -

And the Postmates driver that I ordered McDonald's from called me and asked if he should come up to my door or have me meet him.
There goes the tip faggot.
