My takeaway is the offensive line is bigger and better than I thought. Herbert is even better than I thought. The deep throw he made to Nelson is something I don't even think Rosen could do.

Moss is right in that Helfrich teams even struggled with scrimmages, because the defense was so so bad.
But still a scrimmage. Wyoming and Nebraska will give the average fan an idea of what we have in Willie Lyles-Taggart -

Southern Utah is a bad D2 team (or whatever they are called these days). Not much to gleam from this game, will know a lot more after next week. Was nice to not get gashed for 8 YPC by a bad D2 team for the first time in a few years, though.

The only thing that mattered last night was that Helfrich was nowhere near Autzen Stadium.

My biggest takeaway was Taggart wasn't crazy enough to find out what would happen if he let second-string center Doug Brenner snap the ball. So disappointed.
