Contrary to Trump’s threat of fire and fury, Bannon said: “There’s no military solution [to North Korea’s nuclear threats], forget it. Until somebody solves the part of the equation that shows me that ten million people in Seoul don’t die in the first 30 minutes from conventional weapons, I don’t know what you’re talking about, there’s no military solution here, they got us.”

I asked Bannon about the connection between his program of economic nationalism and the ugly white nationalism epitomized by the racist violence in Charlottesville and Trump’s reluctance to condemn it. Bannon, after all, was the architect of the strategy of using Breitbart to heat up white nationalism and then rely on the radical right as Trump’s base.

He dismissed the far right as irrelevant and sidestepped his own role in cultivating it: “Ethno-nationalism—it's losers. It's a fringe element. I think the media plays it up too much, and we gotta help crush it, you know, uh, help crush it more.”

“These guys are a collection of clowns,” he added.

    Based upon a meeting in this shithole called California today I may have to go with one of my dads to Korea quite soon for a month or so.

    So race just hold off on the warmongering for a few months plz.

    Go to the USO in Seoul and take their DMZ tour. It's the best of the bunch, and gets you into places the other tours won't.

    To be fair. I don't think the Democrats are talking about racism every day. The media is chasing racist shiny objects on the daily. Democrats are too busy trying to say no to Trump than anything.

    He's right about this, as well.

    He's absolutely right about it. There was a piece in the Harvard Business Review right after the election written by a Hastings law professor that just nailed this point. It's a good read.

    He's absolutely right. The plight of someone who can't figure out where to hit the head is not high on the priority list for 99.99999% of the country.

    The left has once again activated the moderate right by reacting to the bait of the alt right. It's just so fucking right out of a Bannon play book.
