Coaches you'd like interviewed
Nuss - I know many will hate this as it's another coordinator promoted, but I'll take the incoming. First, he ran our O better than Sark. Second, he's running the O for a real coach winning possibly another NC. Third, he seems bright, and I gotta think after seeing how a real program is run, he will incorporate those learnings. Fourth, he's familiar with the Northwest.
Wilcox - Self-evident. He should be interviewed.
Bellevue Coach - Now I know I'm going to die for this one...reminder just for an interview. It has nothing to do with stalking teenagers. Rather, that coach is easily among the most successful HS coaches in the country. The college game is TOTALLY different. However, sometimes good administrators are just that and it doesn't matter where they come from. Think about the coach at De La Salle. He was routinely inquired upon, but turned down all comers. Perhaps he knew he'd fail at the bigger stage, perhaps he had a good thing going, or perhaps he hosted lemon parties and knew that would all come out. I don't know. All I'm saying is if a guy is a leader, can build a good staff, could the BHS coach win at UW? Worth an interview.
I'm self-immolating right now. Thank you. It's not that bad. You should try it.

Whoosh or fucktard?
-
Greg Schiano...
...MRSA ATTACK!!!! -
I like Dantonio except for his age. Coached under Saban and Tressel.
-
I'll go with fucktard. Just don't call me a fuckin' doog.
-
hire Mora.
Let him hire whoever the fuck he wants.
There. I just saved time and trouble. -
Gimme an NFL retread who's style doesn't work with adults but works in college.

Todd Graham. He's a fucking mercenary and his wrist bands are stupid but the fucker can coach. And he wins.
Jim McElwain. Surprised I haven't seen his name yet. NFL experience, coached under Saban, turning around CSU. Could get him for a good price.
-
I'm gonna get flamed, but I still think Kirby Smart would be a good hire. Hell, he might even be able of picking up Nuss and bringing him along as well.
-
You had me going until you mentioned the Bellevue coach. Not subtle enough there, 5/10 troll effort.
-
This is the best possible description of Graham, with an addition that his headset is weird.chrisvashon said:Todd Graham. He's a fucking mercenary and his wrist bands are stupid but the fucker can coach. And he wins.

I don't have a problem with Nuss or Macelvaine
-
Interesting to note Macelwain played QB at Eastern.
He does kinda look like a retard, however. -
Graham was on my 2008 top 5. Big fan.chrisvashon said:Todd Graham. He's a fucking mercenary and his wrist bands are stupid but the fucker can coach. And he wins.

And allow me to say a big fuck you to whichever doog saw my 08 top 5 this summer and said "man, I'm glad you weren't selecting our coach". Every single one of them is miles better than Sloppy Seven.

Pete Carroll?

Not trolling. I know that was a reach. I was thinking about Ladoceur and if people felt bhs guy was a comp. that's it. Again, not advocating a hire.Gladstone said:You had me going until you mentioned the Bellevue coach. Not subtle enough there, 5/10 troll effort.
Big caveat: this all assumes SW can conduct an interview and draw the correct conclusions. -
The head coach from some big Texas High School took over University North Texas ... sucked balls.AEB said:

Gerry Faust is Exhibit B. -
Mike London
Darrell Hazell
Garrick McGee
For the following reasons:
No Contract at years end
For obvious reasons, they are guaranteed a third year. -

Well, our first call should obviously be to Nick Saban. He can't say no unless we ask.

How about the former Penn State defensive coordinator? He currently doesn't have a contract as he's been retired but he always ran good defenses.
Anyway UW would consider hiring this guy to be our head coach? I hear he is tan, rested and ready. -
Bob Stitt, the HC at the Colorado School of Mines. Very innovative.
I'd like to see him get a shot at a big time gig somewhere.

90-57 at a D3 school
ok dude -
He'd be a perfect Seattle hire. He has a thing for charity work, he's open minded about gender roles, he spends a lot of time in the shower and he could really teach the DM.c crew a thing or two about teen boy stocking.He_Needs_More_Time said:How about the former Penn State defensive coordinator? Win win win. -
The guy can coach. Washington is likely too big of a jump, but he might be worth the risk.Gladstone said:90-57 at a D3 school

EDIT: He might be better off as an OC first, like Chip Kelly was at Oregon after moving from NH.

Whoever it is just make sure he has the UW requirements like 0 HC experience, kick ass pressers, and something to bring us FREE PUB!
I can't even imagine husky football with all that abundance. -
I don't think this guy is a total fucktard form mentioning the Bellevue HS coach. Gus Malzhan and Art Briles were both successful HS coaches who climbed into the college ranks. And those are the kinds of candidates that UW should be looking at. I'm not really an adherent to the "get a proven hire" school of thought. Get a guy who knows how to win - at whatever level.

Hey, this Bob Stitt guy at Colorado School of Mines has potential...

Briles and Malzahn didn't go right from HS HC to college HC. Malzahn came in as OC and Briles started out as a RB coach. The failures like Todd Dodge at UNT and Gerry Faust were the ones who went straight to HC from high school.
Would Jim Leavitt fit in well with the powers that be?
