Can the Wildcats escape the South cellar?

No.
Fuck em.
Fire Dick Rod. -
Dick Rod is a GOOD coach
-
-
They are only two years removed from the Pac 12 Championship Game.
He's right there. -
Keep rich rod pls
-
Agree to disagree. Rich Rod increased his win total every year, Hoke decreased his win total every year.
I know you like to pretend that insulting a rich Mexican upsets people, but the reality is there are like five active coaches with a better resume than Rich Rod. Saban, Stoops, Shaw, Miles, and...? I can't even think of a fifth one unless we are giving one hit wonders like Jimbo or the Sparty guy. -
No one has ever said Rich Rod was the savior of a program. Rich Rod's resume is better than 90% of college coaches, maybe even higher than 90%.
-
Rich Rod's resume is better than about 95% of college coaches in history.
Way to side step thinking you guys were close to Bama. Jeff Lockie would have won that game as their QB. Let that sink in. -

He's completely mailed it in though.
He doesn't even try to recruit anymore.
Id still probably take him over that clown mora. -
This. He is rich and doesn't care anymore. The exact same thing happened to Mike Stoops in Tucson.Pitchfork51 said:

Over/under fir the Carrington era in SLC:

I remember reading that John Bacon book Three and Out about Dick Rod at Meeshigan. Came away with the impression D.Rod got a raw deal. Y'all are probably right, though...he's mailing this fucker in.
I'm sure he was balls to the wall the first year or two. But there has to be an overwhelming moment of clarity where you look in the mirror and come to the realization that you're in Tucson, Arizona. Nobody gives a fuck about football there. And nobody wants to live there. It's a piece of shit. You're in a 12-school conference and your school's desirability is around 9th/12. I'm already making a fuckton. I can go out and continue to kill myself, maybe winning an extra game or two in the process. But either way you're not going to ultimately compete for anything and you're making fucking bank regardless. -

Agree. Also, IMO, his big time fuck ups started at Michigan by trying to implement small ball in cold country. Early success at Zona was due to lucky timing, coming into in the PAC during it's extended nadir, where that fad could work for awhile. Still, to the OP's question, I think they might escape the South's cellar. It's way too early to know for sure, but outside of USC, it seems a division or near pure dreck.RaceBannon said:

Nah, anyone without strong ties to Ann Arbor will never be allowed to succeed. That's a weird fucking fan base. One of my best friend's family are big UM donors. I've been to a bunch of games there over the years and it's like a fucking cult.RaceBannon said:

The Rich Rod hire made sense as they needed to evolve as a program. The boosters went nuts and now they are stuck back in 1970. They will win 10 games, get used as a tune up game by the Buckeyes every year, and sleep soundly as they know a "Michigan Man" is behind the wheel not accomplishing much. -

The coach we? beat in the 92 Rose Bowl was a Michigan man who got fired for being shitty
-
This makes no sense. Any good coach could succeed at Michigan with or without ties. It's one of the few schools that will recruit itself. They sucked when Rich Rod was there because Rich Rod sucks.Mosster47 said:

It is really simple don't overcomplicate things. -
True, but they have leaned on the Schembechler coaching tree with Harbaugh, Carr and Moeller. Regardless of ties to the school, I suspect Urban Legend at The Ohio State will ultimately be Harbaugh's undoing.CuntWaffle said:
