5 years ago he would have been top 8 or so on a 25 man class. -

I heard it's Xavier Thomas. Finally got out DE!Swaye said:

The ILB's rank 9 and 10 for me in this class, which is a little alarming. Thankfully it's probably our deepest position on the team so they'll have time to develop, and they're still pretty good.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:Bolton will be my least favorite commit of the 10 we now have in this class.

I'd agree with you, I really like Sirmon though, I think he'll show really well this year being further removed from the ACL injury (Remember, he played last year 9 months after tearing his ACL)dnc said:

Also, I'm a looser so I can't resist taking a rough guess at Coker's ranks:
Sirmon
Spiker
Osbourne
Yankoff
Mele
Lowe
Culp
Bynum
Sirmon 2

Yeah, being #9 on this list is no shame. I like Jackson a lot too, I just don't know who I can put him above other than Bolton.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:

My list is pretty similar to my guess for yours but a little different at the top.

When you are getting guys at the back end of your class that are 100% players that are at worst high end conference starters that you can win conference titles with ... then your recruiting is going pretty good
-
I'm neither super excited by this or dissapointed.
If we were a shit team I'd love to have Bolton, because he knows how to play football and will end up with a million tackles. His limitations are pretty obvious and have already been argued to death on this board.
Whatever, prove me wrong Nick Bolton. -
Where does Bryan Kelly slot in for you?dnc said:

Right now for commits I'm:
1. Osborne
2. Spiker
3. Sirmon
4. Mele
5. Culp
6. Yankoff
7. Bynum
8. Lowe
9. Sirmon II
10. Bolton
But I like Bolton a lot. I like him better than I liked BBK or DJ Beavers. In the neighborhood of how I felt about Tevis. Tevis should've redshirted, by the way. Just want to say that. -

It is nice to have a staff that I truly believe knows what it is doing when they recruit. When they actively pursue and land a player that I am not really excited about, I can still feel like there is a pretty decent chance it will work out well. I have not felt like that about the Huskies in a LONG time.
-
I just watched his HUDL again for the first time in several months. He is so quick when he closes on guys, and he just hits like a truck. I really like him.
-
What are his limitations? No, I'm not going to scroll back and look for them.Neighbor2972 said:I'm neither super excited by this or dissapointed.

High end: London Fletcher.
Low end: -
Strange. Pete has said (more than once) that he simply doesn't recruit players that can't run really well.Dennis_DeYoung said:High end: London Fletcher.

What a moran this guy is, basing an evaluation on two plays. Everybody knows it takes three Caple!!!

watched the Hudl, he isnt fast but also doesn't look like he's trying to overcome it, seems in control/composed almost to a fault. Not flailing arms, not over pursuing or spazy. again he doesn't look like he's hitting guys that hard, but they go straight back like a city bus coasting into a honda civic.
seems football smart, will be running the defense if he can cut it physically. -
Watched his hudl for the first time just now. I don't see anything not to like. He's strong as fuck, hard to juke because he breaks down properly, hits hard and finishes his tackles. He doesn't look slow in the open for a pretty burly MLB and he saves a gear for when he needs it.
I know he's lacking height but id put his ceiling somewhere around Donald Butler. That's pretty good for those of you who stopped watching out of disgust in 2009 or sooner. -
Donald Butler would start or be in the rotation for almost any Husky team. Wasted talent like so many back thenchuck said:Watched his hudl for the first time just now.
