Porzingas is in a different universe than Saric. Embiid and KP can play together. There are a million point guards, and Philly already has a pseudo point guard in Ben Simmons, there aren't guys like Porzingas.

I'd give up all the picks. This is why you have picks, to get a special young talent. Let the Knicks Knick and set up your franchise for a decade.

They can't defend with Embiid, KP, and Simmons.

I have to watch another season of Saric before saying KP is in a different universe. I bet you are right, but Saric was rapidly improving as the year went on.

This Simmons PG experiment won't work out. A 6'10" PG? Just play him at PF and let him get 18-10-5.

I don't blame the Lakers for not trading #2 for KP, although I would give up bum ass Brandon Ingram right away for him. I don't see it with Ingram.
I really don't see what height has to do with anything. Lebron has been a point guard his entire career and he's 6'8". Lamar Odom did it once upon a time. Giannis is currently doing it. If you'd prefer the term 'primary ball handler' ok but if that's not Simmons then he's a bust.

Why can't they defend? They wouldn't be able to defend GSW, sure, but no one has. The Spurs trotted out Pau Gasol and Lamarcus Aldridge on their way to having a top 5 defense. I think the idea that you can't play multiple big men is overblown. There's one team in the league that can really punish it and Philly's timetable is not intersecting with them.

It's also Embiid insurance. Porzingas and Simmons > Fultz and Simmons.
LeBron doesn't count. Odom wasn't a real PG.

Embiid insurance is a good point. Drafting for fit is often stupid, but Philly eventually needs an actual G. Fultz is going to be good.

In my original point I called Simmons a "pseudo point guard". Now Odom not being a "real" point guard is the argument against me? Some of you need to learn how to use a dictionary.
