In today's "water is wet" news, Jon Wilner rubs a rusty cheese grater over Larry Scott's pale butt with an enlightening peek into the clown show that is the Pac12 Networks.
TL;DR version is Scott's business model was to showcase Olympic sports whereas the Big10 Network is providing each Big10 school with about $20,000,000 more per year than our schools. Scott's big idea was that because P12Nets "owns 100% of their content", that they will be able to make the most money off the content...problem is, who the fuck wants to pay to watch Olympic sports unless you have a relative playing...furthermore, who will watch replays?
Worth a read if you have a few minutes.
