Well he was right in the sense that the Pacers don't appear to want Love in returnallpurpleallgold said:http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/19682394/cleveland-cavaliers-trying-engage-chicago-bulls-multi-team-trade-scenarios-jimmy-butler
Cavs looking to find a trade for Jimmy Butler, have already been offered George in a three team deal.
Good call @NEsnake12 -
Giannis has the highest ceiling of any young player in the NBA, he's going to keep getting better. Thon Maker should develop into a quality player in a couple of seasons too, and they still have Jabari Parker assuming he recovers fully. And with Kidd at the helm, that core should develop well. I agree with @dnc that they're right up there with Philly and Boston.RoadDawg55 said:
Milwaukee sucks even with Giannis.dnc said:
Yep, the real suspense now is the 2019 Eastern Conference. If George bolts to the Lakers I don't see the Cavs having the assets to compete, which means LBJ selling the couch again. If he pussies out and stays in the East as always then whoever gets him is the favorite. If he goes west for once then Boston, Milwaukee and Philly are the most likely teams to take over the crown IMO. I don't see Washington or Toronto ever being a real threat.RoadDawg55 said:If the Celtics can get Hayward and Butler than maybe they could get lucky and beat the Cavs. Probably not though.
Cavs will likely get George. The Cavs and Warriors will play again next June.
Toronto doesn't have a bright future, and Washington is fucked unless by some miracle they land a legit big in free agency. -
Hayward is a better fit for the Celtics than Butler IMO - both are excessiveRoadDawg55 said:If the Celtics can get Hayward and Butler than maybe they could get lucky and beat the Cavs. Probably not though.

The fact that the Cavs fired their GM is telling ... they are going to push all their chips in the middle for 1-2 more years ... after that LBJ will leave and leave behind a scorched earth franchiseallpurpleallgold said:http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/19682394/cleveland-cavaliers-trying-engage-chicago-bulls-multi-team-trade-scenarios-jimmy-butler

I wouldn't read into that. It's just how Dan Gilbert operates. Not the first Cavs GM to leave this way. Also, Lebron is the GM.Tequilla said:

I didn't even know the Cavs had a GM until today.

Giannis is great. The rest of the team sucks though. I lump Giannis in with Anthony Davis, Towns, John Wall... They are all really good, but their team and franchise won't contend.NEsnake12 said:
