Do we have a shot with this guy? -
Quick digging... looks like ITS was at the 7-on-7 championships this weekend and the guy who made the CB (Tom Loy) was there covering it, he must've heard something good.
Then again, this kid announced that he'd be narrowing down to a top 16 almost 3 months in advance from when he'd announce it... he's gonna milk this process out for a while. His mind will change 10000 times. We have a shot, but don't take this super seriously for a while. -

Can he play Defensive End in our scheme?GrundleStiltzkin said:C>P???? DDDY????? A Q????????

There's always miracles and I'm sure that we'll be in the mix for him as he starts narrowing it down ...GrundleStiltzkin said:C>P???? DDDY????? A Q????????

But even if he does give us an early verbal I wouldn't feel comfortable until he was signed on the dotted line ...
Here's what I would suggest is a very realistic scenario for the optimist:
He looks at Lake's track record and UW's recent success and buys in ...
We get a verbal from him sometime over the summer or during the season after he comes up for a visit ...
Despite giving an early verbal, he talks to Lake/Pete and says that he's not ready to sign on the dotted line at the early signing period after SC beats UW in PAC 12 title game ...
Lake leaves to go somewhere and he ends up following Lake or finally gives into the pressure to go to SC -
This won't get old. I love it.JECAR said:

Even if we? Land him Jimmy Lake is leaving after this year and he will flip to USC anyways.
Water is wet. -
Early signing period Cunty!! That shit will really work for us.CuntWaffle said:Even if we? Land him Jimmy Lake is leaving after this year and he will flip to USC anyways.

You missed the rest of the story. The kid is insane and would be nuts with our coaching...he'll never hit that level at SC.Tequilla said:

Gets a shoulder injury freshman year from shitty training methods and being thrown into a bad situation too soon.
Gets a knee injury sophmore year from more shitty training from Ivan the Turrible.
Goes pro after Jr year to get away from Ivan the Turrible and whoever their worthless Db coach is, stock drops in draft board after shitty workout measurements at the combine.

I'm not disagreeing with you but most HS kids don't think that wayHoustonHusky said:

And he's the kind of player that will get the most out of being at UWHoustonHusky said:

Christ... why not just make a list of the schools that DIDN'T make it.
-
"These are my top schools I'm very highly with"
Not very surprising Stanford wasn't on the list. -
South Carolina must be the leader since they made the list twice.
-
Illinois?
-
UW is never going to land a kid who drops a top schools list with 16 schools on it. He's going to USC.
-
Parents couldn't eliminate a last name why would you expect him to be able to eliminate a school?
-
And three first names. Do not want.TierbsHsotBoobs said:Another hyphenated fag?
