It just depends on how you want to define super team.

Every team he's been on is a super team, because he's LeBron. His problem is the refs have it out for him.

Steph Curry 15 game 5 free throw attempts.
    Lebron James 4.

    Nuff said on that.

Lebron obviously deserves shit for losing to Dallas.

San Antonio and Golden State had unreal depth compared to the corpses that they shovel out onto the court when he's not in.

JR was on fire tonight, but holy fuck. Jefferson did not deserve to play. Deron did not deserve to play. Shumpert can't resist his usual 5 pre-game blunts before an elimination game. Love has his moments but overall should be a fringe all star rotting in Portland.

Lebron haters deserve to choke on their newly bought "The City" throwback unis.

    So either:

    1) Cleveland's front office is shit and can't manage their cap and sign good enough players

    or

    2) Good enough players don't want to play with Lebron and he can't convince them to come to Cleveland to watch him be the man. Because, like, Bron's gonna Bron.

No one said Lebron the GM isn't shit. He needs

It just depends on how you want to define super team.

Lebron + 1-2 other all stars and dreck on the rest of the team != super team

Golden State where there is 1 bad player on the entire team, and even he did his part in ending Kawahi == super team.

I actually like Golden State a lot, the other franchises need to get their shit together. The NBA has the worst roster management of the 4 major pro sports.

The Miami superteam had Udonis Haslem, Ray Allen, Mike Miller, Shane Battier and Rashard Lewis at various points (at least three of them at all times IIRC). They weren't devoid of quality role players.

But yes, Golden State's roster construction and player development are top notch. Let's not forget what a big step forward almost everyone on the team took after they hired Kerr. Not sure how much was Kerr and how much was Mark Jackson being awful, but that team is just stacked in the front office and on the bench as well as on the court.

Watch the 30 for 30 over the next two nights. Super teams are super right down to the bench. Michael Cooper started off as a 6th man and defender. Walton joined the Celtics as a 6th man

And the starting 5s were awesome. They didn't need to go anywhere because they had Red and Jerry West, two of the all time best ever GMs.

People forget that if not for Jerry West, Kevin Love would be a Warrior and Klay klay could be anywhere

It's worth also pointing out that the core of GS outside of KD was drafted by GS ...

A true super team to me is way more akin to what Miami did than what GS did ... that's just top notch management at all levels of the organization ...

And Race is right for the first time in a few weeks ... what made those 80s Celtics/Lakers teams great was the depth that they had on the bench

J gets shredded in Every thread. Baabs was smart enough to steer queer of it or he would have too.

Just going to throw this out there, but the coach needs to be in the discussion when we're sizing up and debating "super teams," not just the roster talent.

How is Kerr better than Spolestra?

How is Kerr better than Spolestra?

Kerr through 3 seasons with the Warriors super team: .841 win% in tougher conference, 2-1 in the finals. Took a 51 win team, just added Iggy and won 67 games the next year (+16 net).

Spoelstra in 4 with the Heat super team: .712 win% in a much weaker conference, 2-2 in the finals. Took his 47 win team, added LeBron, Bosh, others and won 58 games (+11 net).

I like Spolestra a lot but I don't see how you can rate Kerr below anyone but Pop and Carlisle. The Warriors took off when he took over.
