Favorite player of the Petersen era so far?

Pete flipping him from Oregon was like the falling of a stone that eventually started an avalanche in the mountains. GOAT UW safety.

Cohen.
Pete would have never have come to UW without her.
I'm also hearing she is the one putting together this epic 2018 class.
Plus, rumor has it she will be calling the offense this fall from the DJ center.

My favorite first impression was Victor against Boise State. Doog optimism was obvious reality after watching him make his first tackle.
I love Petersen's first class. He took his best recruits from Boise and brought them to UW and the majority of them are studs. Gaines, Pettis, Johnson, Sample, Dissly.
A couple are non factors, but that first class was huge and shows that Pete has a special eye for talent/ skill in developing players.
I've enjoyed the Sark players like King, Victor, Mathis, and Bierria become studs under Petersen. Maybe not all of them, but most would have been average or slightly above average under Sark. Under Petersen, their talent is maximized. -
And yes, I have done a 180 with Pete because he won last year.
That said, my problems with him are the same as always. He gets cute on offense and over complicates things. His quotes on defense are completely different than his quotes on offense.
A big thing he has going for him is Pete actually gives a fuck about defense. A lot of offensive coaches don't. They pretend they do, but it's not an emphasis.
He's the right coach and we will contend for a natty a couple times during the next 5-10 years. Hopefully we can get one and Pete can cement himself as a truly great, special coach. -
Downvoted for a dearth of Chin on this list

I love Budda, but I'll still take LawyerGladstone said:

Dearth of Chin belongs on DJ's album names list.MelloDawg said:Downvoted for a dearth of Chin on this list

I can't fairly judge that. Budda was always good, but his last 6 games were played at an insanely high level.dnc said:

Trey Adams. I hope he stay all 4 years.
-
Greg Gaines. He's not your typical elite DT. He doesn't have god-given athleticism but he makes up for it in his hard work and intelligence. Just a blue-collar, lunch pail guy with a high motor and a nasty streak. Really cerebral guy, too. You can tell he's a gym rat.

Kevin King and Azeem Victor.

Greg Gaines, although Trey Adams is catching up quickly.
Taylor Rapp will surpass them all and live in my heart forever though. -
Trying get to pick just one.......It's HARD. Gun to my head I'm taking Budda. Not just for his play on the field but because Pete flipped him from Oregon and more importantly he embodied the hard work and dedication that embodies Peterson. He led by example and practiced as hard as he played at UW. He even made it "OK" to pick UW over Oregon and other schools. Probably Pete'so osteoporosis important recruit in his time here so far.

I don't think he has the time to live in your heart forever, I am pretty sure he too busy bonning all the asian bitches on campus.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:Greg Gaines, although Trey Adams is catching up quickly.

Troy Williams.

Azeem. Team needed a badass and he is it.
Changing sports, but the Mariners suck because they have no one who will kick someone in the dick and talk shit about it after. That's what AV brings. You know he's gonna stand in Troy Williams's face and shove it.
That guy is necessary. -
Most important was keeping Buddah home
Defensive side: Greg Gaines. OL trying to block him is like asking me to go outside and move a fire hydrant. Does not happen
Offensive side: Tre Adams. Just wants to run block your dick into the dirt. Mcgary gets hon. mention for talking shit after the duck game saying it rained purple all night down there.
We will talk about the two corners (Jones, King) along with Baker for the next 30 years as far as being the measuring stick of secondaries at UW, but if those two bookend tackles would both come back for then senior years in 2018.. My god that would be awesome. -
It's such a hard choice, but I'd have to go with Budda. Him flipping from OR started everything, then the way he played down the stretch last year. Yikes.
HM: Azeem, LAN, SMFJ, Gaines, Kei, Trey, T-Rapp... there are so many. I mean fucking Damion Turpin held his own against Bama. Damion Turpin. -
Gaines. Then SMFJ.
-
Chin!!
-
Greg Gaines and it isn't close.
-
Says a lot that most of the names being listed are defensive players. Of offensive players, outside of Adams, I'd have to say Pettis or Ross.

Petersen does not get enough credit for that program changing flip. He fucking hard closed that family on the truth and now their undersized safety son is an early entry. Take fucking notice world.Ice_Holmvik said:Trying get to pick just one.......It's HARD. Gun to my head I'm taking Budda.
