Write-in CandidateWild wild west
Even had its own song
But in seriousness...a fistful of dollars -
Shanghai noon.

Wild wild West with Will Smith was the biggest piece of shit movie ever. To anyone who watched the TV show. Salma Hayek couldn't even save the movie.Pitchfork51 said:Wild wild west

Westerns though really are the best genre. There needs to be more
And unforgiven isn't on the list i noticed. -
Lonsome Dove (4 part for TV I know but still counts)
That'll be the day...when there is enough space for these polls for all the worthy contenders. You could remove a couple I have and plug in Unforgiving or Searchers.GrundleStiltzkin said:No The Unforgiven, Fort Apache, or The Searchers eh?

The Unforgiven is one of those I can't turn off if it comes up on HBO.Pitchfork51 said:

Me too. I always love it when the Duck of Death gets his teeth kicked in. -

Lonsome Dove (4 part for TV I know but still counts)I love Clint, the Duke, Paul Newman, etc., etc., but for my money, Robert Duvall, did the best job as an actor in westerns. He and Tommy Lee Jones in Lonesome Dove were just phenomenal. Cutting cards for a poke with Lori darling - I love that shit.

The Outlaw Josey WalesJosey Wales is the best of the Eastwood collection and covers his other worthy entries. If you just watched Josey Wales you would get it about what his appeal is as a western character. Unforgiven is a close second
The Ten Bears scene with Wales is a classic. It is a good day to die. -

I went through a brief period of life where I would buy Redman Plug chewing tobacco because I wanted to be tuff like Clint in Josey Wales. Nothing tuffer than slicing off a chunk on plug tobacco with your knife.RaceBannon said:Josey Wales is the best of the Eastwood collection and covers his other worthy entries. Write-in CandidateJohn Wayne The Cowboys.
Has to be John Wayne.
Although Unforgiven and Tombstone are favorites also. -
Lonsome Dove (4 part for TV I know but still counts)
Young Bruce Dern here was perhaps the most evil of western movie villains in this one. I mean how many times does someone kill the Duke other than the Shootist when he was dying anyway both in the film and real life. Lee Marvin in Liberty Vallance is high on the list too of western bad guys. Lee Van Clef too.Sledog said:John Wayne The Cowboys.

The Outlaw Josey WalesCouldn't guess how many times I've seen Josey Wales...or at least parts of it when it's on
So many great scenes and lines, and Josey's character and view of life is right on for me
Serious stuff like "dying is easy for men like you and me..." and funny badass stuff like
"How is it for stains ?" -
Write-in CandidateI didn't see Josey Wales until this past year so it's hard to me to compare it with his others.
But it's fucking awesome.
So is high plains drifter.
I don't even think they could make those movies today because people's heads would explode at his level of badassery -
The Outlaw Josey WalesThe consensual rape scene in High Plains Drifter would be problematic today
-
The Good, The Bad & The UglyI went with TGTBaTU because of Tuco Ramirez
-
A Man Called Horse.
Fucking white people. There was a whole 'nuther side to the story. Am i right, @Swaye ?
-
TombstoneMostly because of Val Kilmer's Doc Holiday.
-
Young Guns
I remember watching that with my dad (I mean two dads!!! rofl!) 10 or 15 years ago and thinking, "Wow. The feminazis and cuck libs would throw a fit over this today." I think it was made around '71.RaceBannon said:The consensual rape scene in High Plains Drifter would be problematic today

Write-in CandidateWTF for no Unforgiven.

Blazing Saddles
John Wayne was a fag. He was too you boys. I know because one time I went to install one-way mirrors at his house in Brentwood, and he answered the door in a dress.Sledog said:John Wayne The Cowboys.

I'm disappointed in you fags and we're almost on the 3rd page. -

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
In the Clint Eastwood realm, The Outlaw Josey Wales is Highway to Hell, and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is Powerage.RaceBannon said:Josey Wales is the best of the Eastwood collection and covers his other worthy entries. Josey Wales is so full of awesome lines it makes my head spin, but The Good The Bad and The Ugly is more rough and raw and got me going on Clint Eastwood way back in the day.
"No, I didn't surrender...........but they took my horse and made him surrender. They have him pulling a wagon up in Kansas I'll bet."
vs.
"He's tall, blonde, he smokes a cigar and he's a pig."
How do you not love that shit? Either one is a solid choice. -
Write-in CandidateUnforgiven should be on there as should 3:10 to Yuma.
However, the most egregious omission is High Noon. Gary Fucking Cooper and Grace Kelly. Cooper smoking the Miller gang all by himself is badass
