The Texas state wrestling championships aren't usually national news. But they made headlines this weekend when a 17-year-old transgender boy — barred by state rules from competing in the boys' league — won his weight class, against girls.

But in competitive sports, specifically wrestling boys and girls as you say are split up for a reason. -

A guy I was in the Air Force with way back when was a national champion in his weight class. He was a little shit and no one liked him so we didn't really care.GrundleStiltzkin said:

At one of my nephew's matches about 5 years ago, a girl was wrestling a guy, and the dude figure-4'd the chicks head, then stuck his balls in her face for three straight rounds, laughing and chatting with his teammates the whole time. It really was the most degrading thing he'd ever seen, but, she lasted 3 rounds without giving up a pin, so, oh well. -
