The "progressives" deserve 8 years of Trump if they're going to be giant pussies about this. Welcome to the real world, where not everything is going to go your way.

Now I personally think that this is a colossal mistake, putting an establishment Dem with close ties to Obama and Clinton in charge of the party. But "progressives" are fucking idiots if they're going to straight up divide the party when that's the last thing that needs to happen if they want to win 2018 house seats and the 2020 election.

Win first, even if it's not winning in their "ideal" way, then bitch about inner-party politics.

It's interesting the way your phrased it. It's not the other side of the Democratic Party dividing it? The progressives are the nut jobs tearing the party apart with their insane demand of not having bought off politicians?

Here's the truth, progressives are the democratic base. When you shit on your base you lose. You don't see republicans telling the religious right to get fucked. Even Trump is kissing their ass on abortion. One of the first things they did was go after Planned Parenthood. That's not about right and wrong, it's about appeasing their base. Democrats wanna fuck around and put their donors above their base then they'll lose every election forever.

they literally voted down not allowing corporate lobbyists to donate to the party yesterday.

this idea of "unity" needs to work both fucking ways.
