This is SC coaching staff are fucking complete savages in making fucking promises and not delivering. I hope this helps recruiting his little brother.bananasnblondes said:Palo-Mao's primary recruiter at SC, who was able to convince him that he would start from day one and that Jimmy Lake would never coach him because he was looking for another job, just took a job at LSU. At least he waited a week longer than Gayboarder's coach

not USC's fault that recruits fall for their absolute horseshit

Yes and no. College coaches are adults who are experienced and have been through the process a hundred times.dhdawg said:not USC's fault that recruits fall for their absolute horseshit
(Most) High school kids have only been guided by their parents, and perhaps a coach and a teacher. People they trust. It is a cold hard introduction to life when these seemingly sincere college coaches promise them the stars and the moon, only to eventually turn out to be two-faced liars.
Sure, recruits shouldn't fall for their bullshit, and people like marlon tui should keep their word and be able to see through the OBVIOUS garbage being thrown at them.
But who is more to blame here? -
Just because a kid is good at football doesn't mean he has smart people around him. High school football coaches are dumb.Passion said:

USC's recruiting pitch is solid.
"Look at all the NFL players we produce"
(Never mind the fact that it's because they are all 5 star players that go there)
"You and your family can brag to everyone that you were recruited to USC for football"
Hard to argue with that. -
11 claimed National Championships doesn't hurt either.Pitchfork51 said:USC's recruiting pitch is solid.

Part of the solidness. But we're talking about the bs part of it.
