I was on campus yesterday afternoon for the Cal-Colorado basketball game. Walked through the wreckage of the Student Union and Upper Sproul. Looks like a few glass panels got broken and boarded up, and they set fire to a garbage can on Upper Sproul. JesusfickingChrust, what a lame fucking riot. Back in my day they did bigger impromptu riots 3-4 times a year over stupid shit like Divest South Africa, Political Correctness, Affirmative Action, and tuition hikes, and they really torched things up from Sproul Plaza down through Telegraph Avenue. But nobody outside the East Bay ever heard about it, because it happened before cellphone cameras and internets and such. People really are pussies these days. -
