The refs just decided the national championship

Would have been spotted at the 2 either way.allpurpleallgold said:That was definitely pass interference but it definitely was not in the end zone.

Never mind, I'm dumb.

Losers blame the refs.
I blame Sark for pissing the lead away by trying to hold a lead by throwing the ball all 2nd half. Those 3 and outs tired out Bama and gave Deshaun a chance to mount the comeback. -
No, that's on Saban. He could get on that headset anytime.PurpleJ said:Losers blame the refs.

Both the NFL and College Game need to get what the definition of what is legal/illegal on the pick/rub/wr cross plays set in stone so that players/coaches/fans know what it is.
In the old days, all these types of plays were illegal and you very rarely saw them called because everyone knew it was a automatic penalty so teams didn't try them.
For the college game, it might even help speed the game up. -
Fuck that. Basketball players know how to fight through a screen. Certainly football players in full gear can do the same.godawgst said:Both the NFL and College Game need to get what the definition of what is legal/illegal on the pick/rub/wr cross plays set in stone so that players/coaches/fans know what it is.

And then teach the Hawks how to properly run it.godawgst said:Both the NFL and College Game need to get what the definition of what is legal/illegal on the pick/rub/wr cross plays set in stone so that players/coaches/fans know what it is.

There is a huge difference between standing in one spot (basketball) to make the defender go around you, creating some space...and whatever the fuck that was to end the game last night. It was much more than a "pick" or "rub". If you watch the replay, dude pretty much tackled the defender.PurpleThrobber said:

I agree there should be some sort of clarification on this going forward -
Picks and screens happen all the time at full speed in basketball. Romar doesn't understand this concept but screens and picks away from the ball is quite common.DugtheDoog said:

If you can't handle the ups and downs of picks and screens it might be time for you to find another hobby
-
Dabo for UW basketball coach?

The PI was probably unneeded and possibly cost Alabama a pick. That safety was there and Williams falling impeded his path.
There is also a chance Mike Williams might have highest pointed it and make an amazing catch. -
The reason the picks worked so well for Clemson was because Alabama almost exclusively was playing man coverage against them and they have the bigger receiving options to be able to create more of a screen (when combined with the defender also getting in the way) ...
On the TD to make it 28-24 Clemson, if you go back and look at the play, the Alabama DB there got picked off by his own guy
