I think Ross also got blindsided on that play on a similar type of hit ...
Really dirty football if you ask me ...
Allen is really fortunate that he didn't get tossed from this game and is able to play in the title game with how he played out the last minute of the game. -
It's big kid football. Nut up and do it too. I was happy to see Tray & Harris playing edgy.Tequilla said:

I have no problem with big boy football ... we nutted up and played them hard on each side of the ball for 60 minutes. We got whipped in some areas and that's life ... but we played hard and with some edge which is needed at that level.GrundleStiltzkin said:

What I do have a problem with is when you throw in blindside hits to players in vulnerable positions like what Alabama did on that INT return. There's a reason why those types of plays in the NFL have been weeded out of the game with penalties, ejections, and significant fines.
There's a massive difference between playing hard and with edge versus trying to injure someone. The hit by Allen was trying to injure someone. -
So was Tray diving onto the DB's head.Tequilla said:

Blindside shots are fun to take. I don't like that it happen to Eldrenkamp, but I can accept it.

You see the play Trey made almost every week in football where an OL gets a DL on the ground and then grounds and pounds from there ... I'm never an advocate of players going after the heads of others so if Adams did get Foster in the head it supports the actions made by Alabama to get him off of him ... doesn't excuse the punch that Foster threw.GrundleStiltzkin said:

And you can't tell me that that the actions of Alabama at the end of the game had nothing to do with the play that Adams/Foster got into. The Bama players were salty that UW was still playing hard even though you could argue that there was no reason for it. To each their own on that but that's competing and I've got no problem with it.
I wouldn't call what Trey did as dirty ... I don't have a problem per se with the actions of anybody on that play (other than maybe Foster throwing a punch - not necessary) ... but when the play is over you drop it and move on and play the game. Given that Bama laid out a few on that return it's pretty clear to me that they were trying to get their pound of flesh and show who had the biggest swinging dick ...
And I don't disagree with you that taking a blindsided hit or laying somebody out is fun when you're the one dishing it out ... but at the same time, you have to have the respect for your opponent to not create a serious injury for them. Playing hard is one thing ... playing to injure is another. That's where I draw the line. -

This is very very fair point. You could feel that energy at the game. That was grenade in the shortsMeek said:i didn't say it very well, but i think without the ross fumble, yes we were likely scoring and the energy of the game would have been a bit different. also, the pick 6 changed the mood as well. maybe nothing would have changed...what do i know.

This is the play on that Gaines dad showed on Facebook and said Gaines had the hammy (ILTCIH,IWILTD) injury.GrundleStiltzkin said: -
Nick Harris gets blown up so bad here that he trips up Shelton.GrundleStiltzkin said:Gaksin run. This is example of scheme on UW part, but just not being quite good enough. TE double on Allen, which worked, but Shelton can't keep block on Foster
