Browning actually did what you want your QB to do there. Get in just enough of the way to see if maybe the DLineman will take a little push at him and give you a free 15, but then when he doesn't, get the hell out of the way and let the men talk.Ice_Holmvik said:

The name is still Allen, not Trey. -
Allen getting in so quickly slowed down Daniels ... while Daniels got a chip on Allen that helped spring Gaskin into the hole ... it left Gaskin running bare through the hole magnifying Shelton's inability to sustain a block on Foster.GrundleStiltzkin said:Gaksin run. This is example of scheme on UW part, but just not being quite good enough. TE double on Allen, which worked, but Shelton can't keep block on Foster

Another thing to notice on the play is look at how quickly the Alabama safeties crash on the run to further magnify their numbers in the box ... IF you could run some kind of flea flicker type of action on them you could have a chance to hit a play on them over the top without safety help ... problem is that the ability to sustain your blocks against their front for that long is a very difficult sell.
It's a great example of how each unit builds on the next ... it's where we're working towards getting to. -
I submit this as Exhibit A as to why anybody that is defending Nick Harris playing this year as a sign of how great he'll become next year is a fucking DOOG idiot ...GrundleStiltzkin said:
It's an indictment on our recruiting and development at the OL position that Nick Harris was playing in this game ...
It's also why on the preview for the game on the TSIO Podcast we were so adamant about why Nick Harris COULDN'T play in this game ... it took 3 plays for that to be self-evident in a BIG way. -
If you can grab this from the replay it is even more amazing ...GrundleStiltzkin said:
Budda immediately takes a step in to cover the motion in the slot before reading Hurts's eyes and knowing that Howard is going in behind him, turns his exquisite hips, and make a bee line for where the pass will go ...
An ELITE play by Budda
