Our OL got their asses kicked all game and Jack Brownig shit his pants. Repeatedly. It was over once we got behind with him back there, but it all goes back to the fact that Bama never had to respect our running game. Waste of a great defense. Get our OL on the same fitness program the DL is on and increase the steroid, err, supplement intake. Get rid of that dumbfuck Smith and get an OC that understands that there is a reason why REAL God invented the I-formation. And then fuck off. I was right.

Until we? get a real OC, not just another OC, PAC-12 Championship is our ceiling.
And Bama was ripe for an upset because their QB is garbage when he has to throw or improvise. He's a tailback playing QB and he's terrible unless his team is rolling you.
They weren't rolling early.
The D did 110% of their part. Gotta get a first down once in a fucking while to compete.
95% of the time. They had the 5 stars.
You give this team a decent OL and QB and we are right there.

That's the shit that gives us TBSers bad names!
We can beat really talented teams, we just have to play better is all and just get a little more talent on the OL. (And also coach better, but that's another point for another time).

The better team absolutely won ...
We're a very good team for the PAC ...
We're probably good enough to beat the elite Big 10 schools ...
But we're not good enough to beat the national teams right now ... it's a Jimmy vs Joe issue ...
The good news is that this "process" made that crystal clear to Pete ... it will probably take another few years to get there throughout the roster but I have confidence that we'll get to that point.
