ESPN's Lobby Efforts for Playoff Spot #4

as we've all been watching games and analyses from the ESPN talking heads the past month and hearing how deserving all the Big 10 teams are, I thought I'd note the obvious narratives from before the announcement this morning:
Brian Griese (Michigan alum) calling the Wyoming/SD State game yesterday saying during the game #4 should be Michigan.
Todd Blackledge (Penn State alum) stating multiple times that Penn State should be in if they win.
Herbie (Ohio State alum) saying that all 4 of Michigan, tOSU, Wisconsin, and Penn State should be in.
Desmond Howard (Michigan alum) same shit on Game Day.
Chris Fowler was the voice of reason and objectivity though. He said you can poke holes in all the teams outside of Bama to fit your personal narrative and pump up your home team so he thinks Washington is the right #4.

Fowler actually destroyed Herbie when Herbie said Penn State should be in over Washington

Yep. And even though Joel Klatt gets shit onPostGameOrangeSlices said:Fowler actually destroyed Herbie when Herbie said Penn State should be in over Washington
here, every time I've seen him on one of these
talking head shows he always jocked for
Washington being in. -
Obviously all fans are stoopid. That is just the facts. That being said, ESPN was shameless this time around pumping up the big 10 for being marginal. Michigan loses 2 out of 3 and nobody cares(including not dropping after losing to iowa). tOSU almost loses to multiple drek fests, including the vomit fest that michigan unleashed to allow tOSU season to continue. I know michigan state is tough, but come on buckeyes. Penn state plays with little boys and somehow we're supposed to get excited for their comeback. Easily the #1 most insufferable fanbase in the nation.
Do you all remember how penn state has had a "resurgence on offense"? Tip of the cap for tOSU win. After that they beat 1-8 Purdue, Iowa(who only is good thanks to espn sucking off michigan but still has 4 losses), Indiana, Rutgers, Michigan state. Wow, that is sure fucking impressive. Prior to that they won against maryland and minnesota and got skull fucked by michigan. So where am i supposed to be incredibly impressed? -
Fowler went to Colorado.
ESPN is trying to re-inflate the Big 10(14). Big 10 is a bigger ratings cash cow than the Pac.
Herbstreit was solid for the past month that UW should be in the playoffs, if they win 3 straight, then suddenly starts pumping Penn State yesterday who lost by 39 to Michigan.
As ESPN continues to lose subscribers, there's going to be a lot more politics in the dark times ahead from them. -
Howard actually defended UW on gameday saturday. I was shocked

Great useless non-content thread as always

Probably because he had to. He had Michigan in his final 4 online.dhdawg said:Howard actually defended UW on gameday saturday. I was shocked

Going to be fun to watch USC kick the living dog shit out of Penn State ( and there really is a state penitentiary down the highway from the stadium about 5 miles away). USC will prove how "tough" the Big 10 really is.
