    It's strange how their list of protected teams is from this year but their data is from the preceding four years. I suspect flagship is a pretty significant factor though and most of those center teams have been good over the past several years. Still a strange way to do it instead of basing it on being a top team in your conference in that time window.

    There's no reason to protect a shit team like Stanford or Nebraska once they lose two games.

    Any other team would be scorned as the choker they are.
