Because Texas wouldn't let Houston into the Big 12 ... hence Herman left Houston because they were never going to get into a big conference ... didn't matter how much they paid Herman.

I'd rather get paid big bucks than to coach at Texas

"coogs" lol

when any league expands the other owners receive expansion fees. Larry Scott isn't trying hard enough.Tequilla said:Because Texas wouldn't let Houston into the Big 12 ... hence Herman left Houston because they were never going to get into a big conference ... didn't matter how much they paid Herman.

At first glance, I'm gonna have to side with Texas on this one.PineapplePirate said:I'd rather get paid big bucks than to coach at Texas

Though, adding the word 'nude' behind "Hot university of houston coeds" in the google image search reveals a decidedly skankier side to UH than I'd have imagined.

Nope, that's totally UH. It's the school where you go if you live in greater Houston and don't get into Texas, Texas A&M, or anywhere decent. Also, our billionaire is better than their billionaire. UH needs to get into a P5 conference to be taken seriously. Actually, they might be a good add for the Pac. Between Houston playing in the Pac and A&M playing in the SEC it might just force Texas to forgo their Longhorn Network and join the Pac. They'd bring OU, Okie State, and probably Texas Tech. Texas will never join the SEC under any circumstances. It would also turn Texas into more of a recruiting battleground, whereas up to now it has been UT, A&M, OU and LSU getting most of the good players from the state.PurpleThrobber said:

Your billionaire has to recruit Houston kids to Eugene. Their billionaire just needs to keep local Houston kids home.

Texas still wins. If there isn't enough talent on that huge campus, Texas State Univ. is nearby and helps to stock the 6th St. establishments in downtown Austin.AZDuck said:<

I thought this thread was about Phil Knight since Mullins is in Texas this weekend
