Still don't understand why they schedule games during the afternoon of a day where 40-50% of the workforce still has to work. I hate having to use my paid time off hours for anything other than binging on meth.

You must be poor. And no where near 40-50% works that day. Only service industry does. Which means you can either choose to
a) be sober for family interactions
b) be the drunk uncle in order to deal with the annoying nephews and nieces and skip out on driving to Pullman
I'd choose B every time
If they pushed it to 4:30 kickoff you can drive to Pullman in the morning while sleeping in a bit while still making it on time. -
