The refs said they blew the play dead for the offsides so the kick never technically happened. On the first one there was no whistle so they were just lying. Offsides is never a dead ball penalty during normal gameplay, but it is on extra points? Or was this just another example of PAC-12 ref fuckery?

Unabated is a DBF, but requires a whistle. Otherwise, offsides is a free play.

Another question on this, did they ever get yardage for the said penalties? It didnt seem like they did.

When I watched all that happen, I wondered why a team wouldn't just keep trying to time the jump over and over again on every single extra point since there is really no punishment for it if they're going to call that a dead ball penalty.
