What have we? "prove it"
after 10 games? Here are what have been proven:
4. We have a very good defense but no where near the elite level of the Bama defense. Still, with a very good offense we can be one of the elite teams in the country.
3. Our offense looks great against bad defense and average against good defense. Of the 4 decent defensive teams in our conference, we only looked good against Stanford which had both their starting corners out when they played us. We looked slightly above average against Utah and downright awful against SC. We are yet to play Colorado but their raw talent level is at Utah level and nowhere near SC so we might look ok.
2. Socks are still brown when pressure is on. Will this ever change? Not very optimistic as being able to carry a team is a godsend quality not something you acquire with more experience. Marques showed that quality as a freshman.
and the No. 1 thing that has been proven:
1. Babaushika is a fucking idiot. Pete obviously saw the problem given he hired Tedford and Babushika only got one year extension with no raise. But now Tedford is gone and Pete can't keep doing patch work with Babushka ... If we miss the Rose Bowl and Pete keeps Babushka as the OC next year, then he is not the coach that we think/hope? he is.
TL. DR version: Our offense will never be great as long as we have JSmithFS.

Especially on O if you strongly believe that to win you must get multiple explosive plays.
I love who we've recruited at the skill positions so far under this staff, but I haven't seen any Ross speed/Napolean speed/Dak Prescott canon arm type qb's so far that are home run hitters (or passes). This offense and it's "system" is built to kill you with running between the tackles or behind two jumbo package te's, and the short/intermediate passing game, yet we seem to be bound and determined to take 2-4 shots per half with a qb who's arm strength is ? at 40 yards.
Moving the chains and getting first downs matter. The 2nd and one 1 reverse to ross first series of the game is a prime example. Last night we saw to much of the bad JS. -
