What's this I'm feeling
-
Strange
-
Nice! Has been expected for a long time, but now this allows us to turn all of our attention to Fozzy.
-
Haven't felt this in... days
-
-
Yeah but where are the OL commits?!
-
He looks like a monster next to the coaches
-
Yea but how about the O Line in 2021 where are THOSE guys?
-
THE FUCKING BEEF
-
God what a class so far. Hopefully we can finish with Foster and another 5 star OL.
-
This class is fucking ridiculous.
-
Someone tell Pete this isn't the fucking WAC
-
-
Pete is basically fucking the rest of the Pac-12 right now on the recruiting front. He is building a monster program.
-
If he pulls a 5 star OL and Polamoalabear this will be the greatest class ever at UW. Might already be...need pro TBSers to weigh in here.
-
Top 10-15 class by all recruiting services ifSwaye said:If he pulls a 5 star OL and Polamoalabear this will be the greatest class ever at UW. Might already be...need pro TBSers to weigh in here.
you look at the QUALITY of the recruits rather than
the quantity. Ass kicking class that will still get
better. I think 3 more. -
I recall Chest used to say that you needed to be above 3.5 on the per player star average to have truly elite classes...and that we usually had 3.2-3.3 classes but just stuffed 30 bodies in them during the Sark years to inflate the class to top 20. I'm not sure if he is right, but his logic always made sense to me. Interesting to see if we have a high per player average when all the dust settles. Do punters count in that?
-
I think this class will have the highest average star ranking. After all the high school bowl games I think our class average will be right around 4 stars (after Jones gets another star).
Finish with two 3 stars and a 2 star punter (who actually ranks punters).
-
For the most part the elite schools take in classes with an average star ranking of about 3.6-3.8 so in general he is correct.Swaye said:I recall Chest used to say that you needed to be above 3.5 on the per player star average to have truly elite classes...and that we usually had 3.2-3.3 classes but just stuffed 30 bodies in them during the Sark years to inflate the class to top 20. We will end up with an average star ranking of around 3.8 i think. So yes this is an elite class -
Love the Grade A Prime Beef!!
-
Good news.

For reference, since the online star thing began (2002), UW has only had 1 class with 10 4-star recruits. That was Sark's 2nd class where he took like 32 players and not everyone qualified. That class also had several 4-star guys who did not have the offers to warrant their ranking and a bunch of bottom feeder guys who had terrible or non-existant offer lists
This class currently has 11 4-stars and only 14 or 15 commits. Every single one of those 4-star players has multiple "big-time" offers (USC, Michigan, etc.). Two of our 3-star guys (Otton and Jones) have pretty impressive offer lists (USC, Nebraska, Oregon, etc.). This class blows away any class we've had over the last 15 years. -
I'm hearing sark's 2014 class would have been the best of all

9-1 this year headed to at least the del Norte title with a roster full of talent and recruiting taking a giant leap for mankind
Sign the extension Pete. Build the monster

Punters and kickers aren't people so they don't count.Swaye said:I recall Chest used to say that you needed to be above 3.5 on the per player star average to have truly elite classes...and that we usually had 3.2-3.3 classes but just stuffed 30 bodies in them during the Sark years to inflate the class to top 20. This. I'm still bitter about the loss but everything else about this season has been a fantastic improvement.RaceBannon said:9-1 this year headed to at least the del Norte title with a roster full of talent and recruiting taking a giant leap for mankind

Now it can get derailed in the Apple Cup but I'm confident we will beat WSU. -
Fozzy makes the class national elite, stars be damned.
