While one grandfather was Wehrmacht and a great uncle was an SS paratroop officer, some of my wife's genealogical digging several years ago suggests that my mother's father's father's family might be descended from Ashkenazi Jews in Bohemia. It's my birthday next week and I know my wife already bought me a 23AndMe kit, so in a few weeks we'll find out whether there's any genetic evidence of that. -

I'm from the Norf En so white, but not like Laurelhurst white, but like our garage had actual tools that got used white. Did get bused to school in the CD in the late 80's so I got some street cred. I assume I came off as the fat asian kid shooting from the hip at pick up basketball games wearing husky gear head to toe, which is correct, except for the asian part. Hella is a permanent part of my vocabulary.
