I'm thrilled with the season so far and think peterman has a bunch of strengths but I'm not sure how any fan can feel 100% confident in his clock management
He's clearly learned you can delay the duration of a kneel-down play 3-4 seconds by waiting to take a knee (maybe Jake the football nerd taught him that - so maybe another Arizona 2014 can be avoided) but I'm not sure how you can argue with Sven about how not taking a time out at 20 seconds left created a low-risk, high-upside opportunity for Cal at end of half
It's a total nit but in the big games we aspire to play in it could be a problem - or not at all. Either way it will be interesting... -

Disagree. LSU called time with 8 seconds left on the clock before half to try this and they failed. Bama got possession with 2 seconds on the clock and had an opportunity to their own hail Mary.Alexis said:

RN, who was great at clock management, was able, with Tui, to run out 9 seconds at half (rather easily) against ASU in 2000. So yes, it's possible that 8 seconds would work, but why take the chance. Like Boobs said later, make it 12 and take out all doubt.CFetters_Nacho_Lover said:
