Today a number of UW players were asked about being 5th in the first playoff rankings. All of them said nothing about it.
One player - Pettis - said this: “I was like, ‘Oh, OK,'” UW receiver Dante Pettis said. “I didn’t know — who jumped us? … I didn’t know they (Texas A&M) were that close to us in the rankings or whatever. I really don’t pay much attention to that at all. I don’t know who’s where. I was like, ‘Oh, I didn’t know they were having that good of a season.’ I was a little shocked, but we can’t really pay that much attention to it.”
And what is jood's title to his most recent story? "Huskies a little shocked at being ranked No. 5..."

What I'm surprised at is that pete actually has these guys thinking and speaking this way... in public. Who knows what it's like behind closed doors. The fact that they all give this business like approach to the media is impressive.
