  Medically doesn't make sense, you either have a fracture or don't... Easily diagnosed on MRI, even insufficiency fractures or bone marrow edema

  There was a theory that he wasn't actually hurt and was in trouble for taking money or seeing an agent. Being 4th on the depth chart this week was definitely strange.

  If the school/athletic department had reason to believe he did either of those things he wouldn't be on the depth chart, he would be suspended immediately. And probably publicly. Because they would want it noted on the record that they dealt with it the instant they had reason to believe it to be the case.
