Good stuff Race. And DAMNNNNNNNN you are an old fucker. I hope you hang in there long enough to see another RoseBowl or National Championship.
-
When are you changing your handle to RRACEBBANNON?
-
Slight correction:
In the year of 1873 I was a junior in high school -
Did the article get cut off?
And Race isn't that old... hell he is younger than m
y parents. -
Seeing as my two dads graduated hs in 69 (...nice) and 70, I don't really think that's Race is that old.
-
It's about half the article
-
Im not saying Tom Rinaldi is gay but if you kicked him in the ass a hundred cocks would fall out.
-
This is all that was in the WORD document that Race emailed me. I did not omit anything.
-
this is a story only a college football fan could tell. Why it's important to cheer for a winner, however small that seems to some it's important: we don't have that much time in this world... The way college football fans remember things and how we tell our stories, which parts are important and why. And how many great stories you accumulate over the years.

It was TL, DR and should have been edited.DerekJohnson said:This is all that was in the WORD document that Race emailed me. I did not omit anything.

I actually did make a mistake as it wasn't cut and pasted completely from the WORD doc. (I stopped at page 1). It is complete now. I apologize for that especially since the article has serious meaning.

Fine. Tees and Pees to Race. May she rest in peace. And may her DAWGS win out for her.

Back to regularly scheduled Hardcore Huskying....
How much did your mom get in her couch sale?
And the article doesn't mention whether you eventually ended up with 2 or 3 dads.... -
My sympathies on your loss, Race. Good article and hopefully, if there's a heaven, she'll give the team that extra push when it's 4th and 1 vs Bama with 2:00 left in the game.
-
If we are going to rely on her in heaven just get us TO the Bama game.Gladstone said:My sympathies on your loss, Race. Good article and hopefully, if there's a heaven, she'll give the team that extra push when it's 4th and 1 vs Bama with 2:00 left in the game.

Not a dry eye in our collective mom's basements.
Honestly good stuff, this year is filled with all these new emotions for me as an under 35 fan, but none of that is nostalgia as I can only MISS WHAT I'VE BEEN TOLD IS WASHINGTON DAMMIT!
-
Sorry for your loss Race ...
Hopefully she's finding some Bama fans and taking the gloves off right now -
So this is where the two dads thing came from?
-
Was there one home game in particular she loved the most?
-
Off topic/on topic - ESPN should couch Rinaldi & shave an hour off of GameDay. Saves $, makes for a superior viewing product. Ever since god created the DVR, I have been recording College GameDay . I notice that I only watch about 14 minutes of it when all said and done. The Rinaldi pieces are all dreck & never worth watching. That same shit killed SportsCenter.
