I have to say again, DeRuyter is proof that you can't tell what you've got in a coach until year 3.
Rick fixed a lot of what Lambo was doing wrong, but the infrastructure was Lambo's. When he got his own culture in, he sucked.
It's like having a tap running only cold water. That fucking sucks. So if you turn on the hot water all the way, it's going to be nice, until the cold water gets shut off then it fucking sucks again.
So many coaches' early returns are like that. -
