That job has been done. The offense was a total dreckfest until this year, but I can doog out about a coach with this attitude, especially one that was a former QB. Most these former QB's are guilty of worrying about their QB and their offensive scheme. At times, I think Petersen has too, but since Boise State, he's always had great DL's.
It's really amazing a guy like Sark wouldn't emphasize what he had to have hated most as a former QB. A DL constantly in his face, hitting him, and forcing him from doing what he wanted to do. Than again, he played in the WAC and probably played 1 or 2 good DL's his entire career.

Chorak was a monster. Looking back he was probably the 1st in a long line of players to regress by staying in college. Player development is everything and this program completely failed in that department from after James and before Pete.
Boise State's defense completely shut down Kelly's "blur" offense, disrupting the line of scrimmage and controlling the gaps. And, their offensive line manhandled Oregon's defensive front, moving the ball at will while controlling the pace of the game. A thing of beauty to an old school football fan.
Georgia had real SEC lines when they played Boise. Boise's lines held their own and they had a more explosive offense, Kellen Moore had become an assassin. It was fun watching that game, especially listening to the post game post mortem for Georgia. They had embarrassed the entire SEC, the sky is falling! lulz.
Anyway, looking back it's no surprise to hear that Peterman values linemen and understands that championship level play is won in the trenches. His philosophy was on display prior to UW. These guys he has at UW look like Boise rePetes, but they may be better, maybe even a lot better. Time will tell. The Huskies seem to be stuck in perpetual pre-season. This week looks to be more of the same before getting into what now looks like the meat of the schedule, so it may be awhile before we know where this team really stands. Knock on wood, so far, except for @ Zona, they look damned good. Time to keep proving it.
Anyone who thinks Sark would have these guys playing like they right now needs to open up their desk drawer and take a drink.
