"Bringing it back to a championship level will be dictated by our ability to recruit and to develop defensive linemen," Petersen told me.

That job has been done. The offense was a total dreckfest until this year, but I can doog out about a coach with this attitude, especially one that was a former QB. Most these former QB's are guilty of worrying about their QB and their offensive scheme. At times, I think Petersen has too, but since Boise State, he's always had great DL's.

It's really amazing a guy like Sark wouldn't emphasize what he had to have hated most as a former QB. A DL constantly in his face, hitting him, and forcing him from doing what he wanted to do. Than again, he played in the WAC and probably played 1 or 2 good DL's his entire career.

ESPN interviewing their own hosts now to create content. Ranks right up there with mixing daytime soap opera topics with Sports to boost ratings.

Except Sark never showed his ability to develop players. The main reason Victor, Bierria, Jones, Qualls and Vea are studs is because Pete's staff has coached them up.

If Sark left the cupboard full, why are there 23 Peterman players in the two deep roster?

You must not pay attention. They are all Sark players. There are no Petersen players.

Budda Baker is a Sark player because Sark recruited him. Jake Browning is a Sark player because he had heard of him before. We wouldn't have Marlon Tuipulotu committed if it wasn't for what Sark did.
