Wouldn't be surprised if this is just politics. All they have to do is keep talking about Seattle getting a team. And as long as it continues to not happen, people will be afraid of their NBA team getting moved there. It's just one way to get more people to vote in favor of throwing tax dollars toward arenas and putting pressure on team owners to not be shitty owners.
