The best unsung play on defense i've seen all year in CFB.

Taj griffin was a 5 star and looks to be very fucking fast. He also stomped around the field like he was pissed about the ass whoopin. I expect him to be their premier weapon the next few years and be annoyingly effective.

    Agreed.

Look for Oregon to make a big push for the New Mexico Bowl in 2018.

All our bad plays in that game involved one or more of three people:

    1. Psalm (got caved constantly on runs)
    2. BBK
    3. Potatoes O'Brien

This is why Helfrich needs to stay. I want to see Griffin get worse not better.

Hopefully the Ducks turn things around and Helfrich gets at least 2 more years.

    Fantastic play by Mathis.

I'd like to go back and watch oregon's 2 touchdown plays where they scored around the left end. At least 1 TD was scored by taj griffin. Curious what happened on thise plays.

One of them was either a buck sweep or a pin and pull outside zone. They are really similar plays--both use two pulling linemen. I haven't rewatched the play, but I recall thinking at the time that the Husky D looked to be in pretty good position, but the play was actually well blocked (one of the few that Oregon ran that could be described that way) and Griffin is a blur.

Without rewatching it, I would tend to agree. Wooching has been an upside surprise in the pass rush, but there is no question he is the weak link defending the run.

BBK gets in on lots of tackles and I can't hate him just for being scrawny and white (I'm not that self-loathing), but I shudder to think about him as a starter at ILB. No thank you.

O'Brien has been Wooching last season (minus the fire-dancing): 2nd team guy playing BUCK who gets some opportunities because he is surrounded by awesomeness, but looks for all the world like nothing more than a JAG.
