The cool thing about that 2000 team, is not only did we win the Rose Bowl, but two of the teams we beat that year (Miami and OSU) went on to make big bowls and win them. OSU went to the Fiesta and beat ND, and Miami went to the Sugar and beat Florida. That Miami team won an NC the following year.ExtraChrisB said:

@ Oregon (NEM)It's Oregon and/or ASU as 1a/1b with Cal at #3.
Utah is a favorable matchup stylistically. ..their offense vs *our defense. They won't be able to move the ball any better than Furd.
Cuogs will be too beat up and in disarray by the Apple cup. I say disarray based on the assumption they'll find some array to begin with. It's not fair them having to play uw at the end every year when their good players are all hurt or bored with football.

Utah and SC are the two that scare me.
I would take Stanford over anyone else they have left to play in their conf. schedule.
No one has the D line to stuff their run like we did Friday (they don't play Utah)
I'm hoping some one trips them up along the way though as I don't think we only lose 1 conf. game this year. -

During the bye week, Caple wrote a good piece ranking the degree-of-difficulty for each of UW's back half opponents. I tend to agree with his rankings:
10/29 at Utah: DoD 6/10
11/5 at Cal: 4/10
11/12 vs USC: 5/10
11/19 vs ASU: 3/10
11/25 at WSU: 7/10
UW will be Vegas favorites in all of these games. But I tend to agree with @dnc that the Dawgs are likely to drop one they shouldn't. And really, I'd be elated with a 12-1 record and a Rose Bowl matchup with the loser of tOSU/Michigan. -
