What I liked, What I'm concerned about and stanford...

Liked
======

Half time adjustments. We committed to the run coming out and we also for the most part went with the hot hand. It was telling to see Coleman in there as RB1 in OT. Defense improved in 2nd half, too. We out-coached them in the 2nd half. Browning looked good throwing the ball, John Ross is legit, Chico is a threat, Pettis is a good possession receiver over the middle. The OL made the holes to commit to running the ball. Browning showed good scrambling/take what they give ability. Special teams made plays.

Concerns
=======
1) Stupid penalties -- false starts, PI calls
2) The Wildcat needs to die
3) I felt we got a little too conservative late in 2nd half trying to run clock
4) Obviously not containing a mobile QB, the success of the read-option in the 1st half
5) Poor tackling. Lack of edge pass rushers
6) Gave up too many explosives

Stanford Match-up
==============
They are a run-first group, with multiple TE Sets. Conservative offense. We are going to have trouble containing Mcaffery but everyone does. We will score and move the ball but more of it's going to have to come in the air this week. It could come down to winning the turnover battle. I'm actually more concerned about Oregon than Stanford because we did not do well against the read option attack/mobile QB. We're not going to be too concerned about the QB for Stanford

Low scoring game in the 20s by both teams, we probably lose.

    Beating a "giant killer" that had to play a receiver at quarterback and another receiver at running back, plus a mountain west d line is fucking special. Fuck, some of you love slurping purple sludge out of Chris "It's Hard In This League" Petersen's asshole. We were woefully unclutch and unprepared. The quality of the conference is our only hope, unless these coaches ball the fuck up and clean up the 20+ issues this team exhibited.

    If you watched the Stanford game and this game and were a neutral observer, and didn't read ESPN's stupid fuck rankings, you would think they will buttfuck us, even at home. And that is unacceptable.

    There's your fucking football analysis you dumb fucking alley mutt fucking doogs.
    Think positive. There's an obvious shit-ton of stuff to "clean up" before the next game. "It's gonna be hard" to play "mistake-free football" against a "quality team" like Stanford, but "we're gonna be prepared. I can guarantee you that."

    I'm out of Peteisms now.

    Biggest break of the game for the UW D was J.J. Taylor's last play.

    AZ bored are saying it was a dirty play by Gaines.

    My guess is that we see more Jaylen Johnson and less Wooching now that JJ was back last week. Maybe we'll see more Tevis Bartlett too.

    Solomon Thomas lining up over Brostek worries me. I'm sure Coleman Shelton will have to help out a good amount.

    Stanford's secondary is banged up and it sounds like they are probably starting back-ups at both corner spots. I'm sure one safety will mostly be concerned with John Ross deep so one or two out of Pettis, McClatcher, and Daniels / Sample should be able to make hay over the middle of the field.

    Speaking of Daniels / Sample, both need to step it up. Daniels missed a somewhat catchable TD pass and Sample false-started on 4th and 1.

    Gaines lumbers forward trying to break whatever he can on every play. He always makes it look like he's just an unaware knuckle-dragger for the refs, but it's clearly intentional. You're a dumbfuck to be in his way after the whistle.

    As I said before, Gaines is going to make a great Hells Angel one day.
    He's more of a Bandido than Hells Angel.

    What I liked about the game: we? won.

    It was a win, but fuck these coaches for being unable to take advantage of a shit tier conference this year. Even the doogliest among you have to admit that if you can't replace wooching, we are fucked against Stanford, Utah, and probably ASU too. Not Oregon though, they are an embarrassment. Doogs will ntd, bb through the rest of the season regardless of what happens after that.

    The base D vs. Arizona was a 2-4-5.

    Against Stanford, it will go back to the base 3-4 (with a DL rotation of Gaines, Qualls, Vea, Jaylen Johnson, and Turpin / Bowman) and Mathis at Buck.

    Personally I think "we" match-up well with Stanford's O. We have the front 7 to slow down their running game and the length / talent at CB to cover their WRs one on one or in Cover 1.
