There are a lot of dickhead cops who get drunk with power and love bossing people around with the unveiled threat that they'll put the hurt on you and get away with it, because they're cops and they all have each others' backs. I'm white and I've experienced this enough in Seattle to know the problem is with the guy who puts on the uniform being a fucking dick to begin with, and being a cop gives him the power and authority of the badge behind him (or her). It's a huge problem and it doesn't help that everyone buys the line that he or she "puts his life on the line, everyday." Bullshit. Most cops go weeks or months without even strong-arming a guy, let alone, "putting their life on the line" everyday. We love heroes and we love Hollywood fake hero stories and fables, but reality is all too different. On top of that, we made every cop and fireman instant heroes after 9-11, without a second thought. More bullshit. They signed up for the job, get paid well, get good retirements, and get to drive through red lights without penalty.

I appreciate the work cops do and the bullshit many have to endure. But very few are true heroes, and the fucking dickheads in the ranks devour that hero bullshit and use it to rationalize further dick moves they make everyday, including routinely employing excessive force and ganging up on suspects who merely ask "why" instead of immediately following orders barked at them from Nazi cops.

We are lucky we haven't see more riots in Seattle with our POS Mayor and Council, and all the BLM folks dying to fuck up other people's days to get their message out. It's been like 5 years and there's been no meaningful progress on policing and community relations in Seattle. It's all fucking talk, talk, talk, with little or no action.

I'm tired now.

Whose accounts? Because I've heard plenty of cops describe being attacked and acting in self defense only to see the video and it being more like a cold blooded murder.

This is what we need to solve. It's not about social justice or protests or athletes, its about the media, power brokers, and people demanding that this get fixed.

When we lived in Rainier Beach I could drive down the hill and through the hood without incident. My wife got pulled over quite often. Middle class, hard working, nice truck and still treated different.

if we're going to tell Blacks that they just need to study hard, work hard, and be REAL Americans we need to make sure that is an option.

That's how we raised our son. He's a success. And he still gets pulled over a lot.
